The PADI Sidemount Diver certification gives the skills that were once reserved for tecnical and commercial divers. Many scuba divers have discovered the joy of mounting cylinders on their sides and everyone knows that sidemount divers look cool.

Not only does sidemount diving give you flexibility and streamlining options, you don’t have to walk with heavy cylinders on your back – just enter the water, clip them on and go. Sidemount makes diving more accessible to more people. Our instructors can’t recommend learning sidemount highly enough, it will take your diving to a whole new level.

Along with learning about the many benefits of diving with a sidemount configuration, during 1 confined water and 3 open water dives you’ll learn how to properly assemble and configure sidemount scuba diving equipment, trim your weight system and sidemount gear so you’re perfectly balanced in the water. You’ll also learn to manage gas by switching second stages as planned, and respond correctly to potential problems when sidemount diving.

Sidemount configuration is also great to go with Deep DiverWreck Diver and Self-Reliant Diver courses.
