About The Dive: Today we have finished open water dive one for Rendal’s PADI Open Water Diver course while Sky is assisting as divemaster candidate.
The dive started by controlled descent with a marine line so Rendal can control the descend speed and equalize his ears. We then swam to our training area close by with sandy bottom at around 5m for Rendal to finish some skills. Everything went well so we then went to the wall and slowly descent to our maximum depth of 12m.
The condition was amazing with no current and 30m+ visibility. We enjoyed our dive and found some porcelain crabs, moral eels and also a banded sea krait. Rendal did a great job controlling his buoyancy, checking his air and depth while staying close to his buddy Sky.
Good first dive overall and looking forward to the following training dives!
